I took a shot in the dark when I bought this book. Hadn't heard of the author or the book, but the cover caught my eye. It was different. The author (TJ Askren) was bubbling with excitement (or so it seemed) on social network sites. I got the feeling she just loved the book and the characters and was truly excited about getting it into the hands of readers. That is what sold me.Let me tell you, she has good reason to be excited. The book is wonderful! Many layers of time frames and story lines add depth and complexity to this story. You will love the variety of people introduced here. What seem to be some age old issues (like coming out) has a twist you won't see coming and a very personal connection to many of the characters.TJ Askren captures the audience from the begining when you are drawn in and only want to keep going. I had a hard time putting this book down. Definitely will watch for more from this author!
