For the spring of 1991, Vivienne Westwood released one of her most legendary collections, “Cut, Slash & Pull.” It was influenced by a 16th and 17th century trend of ripping apart and stitching back together cloth from dresses. Despite the era it called back to, the visual aesthetic appeared in harmony with her earlier punk work under the Seditionaries namesake.
These jeans are a later ‘90s re-edition of the classic design under her Anglomania line, and were notably produced by GTR, who also produced Helmut Lang’s Jeans line.
