I had the "Revenge Will Come" album from 1982 and remembered that Jackson Browne production sound, all dark, warm and sultry. Greg's original songs and fresh viewpoints sparkled with tenacious lyrics. But then nothing for a long while from Mr Copeland. And then purely by chance I stabbed the name into Google and hit pay dirt. A new album and a whole new set of songs and with JB as over producer. I ordered blind and I wasn't disappointed. Another hidden gem this time around and a new set of intriguing songs. I've played this over and over and I wont get tired of it for a long while yet. It's as good as anything else around in the singer/songwriter category and has a laid back country style feel to it with some great interplay between violins and guitars. "Blue Room, Red Suitcase" would have been a perfect track for "No Country for Old Men". Produced by Greg Leisz who also plays lap & pedal steel guitars, mandolin and dobro, it cruises along like a '68 Chevy with new plugs and a fresh oil change. Five stars.
