Description
Wilkinson James (Liz Wilkinson and AJ Scheiber) have been performing their unique brand of music around Minneapolis-Saint Paul since 2008. With their Appalachian roots proudly showing and their hearts on their sleeves, they grab listeners with rootsy, self-penned, don't-tell-your-mama songs that deliver messages of Love & Justice. Their self-titled debut album--produced by Ben Kyle (Romantica) and bolstered by the talents of Ryan Young (Trampled by Turtles), J.T. Bates and Mike Lewis (Fat Kid Wednesdays), Dave Strahan (Farewell Milwaukee), James Garlick (Saint Paul Symphony Orchestra), Steve Pinckney, Joe Savage and Peter Schimke (too many bands to list!)--arrived in 2014 to rave reviews!

What an enjoyable album to listen to. It’s got everything from toe-tappers to introspective ballads to romantic heat all glued together by excellent musicianship. In some tunes, one can detect the vocal influences of Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons, which is a great thing and rare these days. Incredible job, Andy and Liz. I say, Encore!
